The Word of  God (n)

Hebrews 4:12

12 For the word of God is wise, a revealer of truth. It is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing and the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, penetrating even unto the joints and marrow.   The word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

John 1-14

A heralding of the Holy Spirit as God and as man by John

1 In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth [in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not]

Michael the Archangel early 1500s taking down a man of darkness.  Inspired and painted by Rafael during the Judgment of God 15th &16 centuries,  a decline  and judgment of the Byzantine empire, Europe.  The church which was also freed of Tyranny commissioned  the painting of Sistine Chapel using the new masters techniques inspired by our Holy Spirit,

What is inside the [brackets] in verse 5,  may have been added to make darkness as if it were some great and powerful entity and force. Freemason wizards are dualist who strive to make you believe that darkness is a god and equally powerful force.  The judgment of God proves this is not true.      Another question we must ask is did John believed in darkness so much  to emphasize and dramatize it.  I don’t think so.  It looks like it was added by  a dualist. )

Things to remember.  There is no Satan.  Darkness is always a flesh and blood conspiracy.  Men spiritualize their darkness using technology, tricks, magic, spells superstition, intellectualism  and they make look evil look like some outside force that cannot be touched.   It takes human effort to make forces of darkness.

Suggestion for verse 5: And the light shineth  and the men of darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John (the Baptist)

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8 He (meaning John the Baptist) was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born (of the Spirit), not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (The Holy Spirit)

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father (Our Holy Spirit), full of grace and truth.

Notes:  Jesus was not the only begotten, but the first born of the Holy Spirit.   You are the angels of heaven from the worst of you to the best of you, from the poorest to the richest.   Your souls also come from the Holy Spirit created in the image of God man and woman.  In the beginning they were, man and woman, the first born of the Holy Spirit and who through them dwells among the people.  But do not limit the Holy Spirit who at the same time has many souls which are also her home.

Her home or His home ?

When writing about the Holy Spirit men and women have traditionally used him. e.g.  “The Father,”   Just above you will notice I used her.   I like to use her when referring to the Holy Spirit because wisdom is Sophia,   because women give birth to life.  Nature and Earth metaphors to the Holy Spirit  are commonly referred to in the feminine e.g  Mother Nature or Earth’s bosom from whom all life springs forth.   I will on occasion will still write in the masculine using  the Father”

Him or Her:  Choosing a gender

It is important when choosing a gender by which to write about the Holy Spirit that you clarify that the Holy Spirit is not  a man or a woman, but Spirit, and a mother and father to us all. Use him or her, but know this the Holy Spirit is not an “it.”  She is neither flesh that we might ascribe our faulty perceptions  onto the Holy Spirit.  Jesus said, “God is Spirit.”  God is Spirit neither man or woman and incapable of the sins of the flesh, yet understanding and forgiving of them.  The Holy Spirit is a mother and father to us all.

Saint Michael in The Fall of the Rebel Angels early 1600s. This painting captures even today’s judgment of men so cruel and vicious, it is almost a relief to se them defeated by the forces of good, which is represented by Michael the archangel.

Ephesians 6-24

1. Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2. Honor thy Father and thy Mother; which is the first commandment.

3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

To slaves

5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to your duty, with respect and in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

6 Not with eye service, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

To keepers of slaves

9 And, ye keepers of slaves, there is no  master but God and so serve them who serve you, without threatening their lives: knowing that your Master is in heaven watches and in whose presence all men are equal.

To the Brethren

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to defeat all conspiracies that encompass you.

12 For we wrestle against flesh and blood, against the spiritually dark souls of this earth

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to overcome evil.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of repentance, for penitent is a righteous man and woman.

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (wave after wave of useless terrorists news )

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all your brothers and sisters;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the gospel of love and peace,

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

In David and Goliath, by Michelangelo a detail of the Sistine chapel you see David slaying  Goliath. Goliath was  a monster of man who offered burnt offerings to his lord.  The Holy Spirit did not take pleasure in burnt offerings of the Philistines which is double speak for burning children alive; what heretics call sacrifices,

Exegesis

In the old days a knight commanded the attention of all who crossed his path. A knight was man at arms and he needed armor.  The average knight was more civilized than a centurion of Rome, his predecessor, but equally as deadly and very few were intellectuals. Learning was reserved for nobility.  Everyone else went to church and for many years the Church, mosque or temple was our school around which life thrived.  We have come a long way since.  Our churches now are diverse and complex and include Universities and modern education.  Modern education and all good knowledge are illuminations of the Holy Spirit the Father of Science and founder and creator of empirical evidence, science, all physical laws and advanced mathematics things we have just barely begun to channel.   The dinosaur and evolution conspiracy however is not of the Holy Spirit.

St. Michael by Rafael slaying a dinosaur early 1500s, but they came back.  Imagine someone making a movie about a man who slays dinasaurs,

oops looks like the dinosaur won in this one.

The noble knight was a man who could afford to be a knight in the feudal system.  They were well armored. But country knights or peasant knights  had to muster up their arms, and had to have at least one servant, usually a friend or relative.  Knights were usually part of larger band of men and most were associated with the Army of a feudal Lord also a knight, who would by grace accept into his army a man who could fight, even a poor knight.

The greatest value of a knight or a muslim cavalier was his ability to fight and defend the honor which he was vowed to defend. To protect themselves Knights wore armor which protected them, but not all men could afford to be knights.  Christian and muslim soldiers and knights felt God’s word also offered protection.  They were witnesses to what we are witness to today and that is the Holy Spirit limits the harm that people can do to each other,  And so the word of God is also considered armor for its ability to protect. The word of God is a part of the armor of God. The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit…
